How iWave Air Purifiers Work
iWave Air Purifiers install in any brand of air conditioning system to help clean the air. When air passes over the iWave device, it produces ions to reduce allergens, smoke, particles, pathogens, and odors in the air, creating a healthy indoor environment without producing any harmful, negative byproducts. iWave’s patented needle-point bi-polar ionization technology creates positive and negative ions in equal amounts. These ions, when injected into the air stream, combine and break down passing gases and pollutants into harmless compounds. All iWave products come with a three-year limited warranty from Nu-Calgon.
Some of the iWave models we utilize include:
iWave-R
The iWave-R is a self-cleaning air purifier built for treating air in any brand of residential duct AC system up to 6tons in size. The iWave-R can be universally mounted and you can install it inside or outside the duct. It also has a magnet that allows you to attach it in the air handler, near the indoor fan. The iWave-R produces over 160 million ions/cc polarity up to a total of 320 million ions/cc. You can program the self-cleaning design to clean the emitter brushes every one, three, five, or ten days.
iWave-V
The iWave-V is a low-maintenance air purifier that treats residential duct AC systems up to 6 tons in size. It produces over 160 million ions/cc per polarity up to a total of 320 million ions/cc. Like the iWave-R, you can either mount it inside or outside the duct or attach it magnetically, in the air handler near the indoor fan.
iWave-M
The iWave-M comes with special ion needles routed on a flexible ion-generating circuit bar. Despite its compact size, it produces 35 million ions/cc per linear foot. It can clean the air in any cooling coil up to 36 inches wide. The iWave-M is perfect for ductless systems plus some ducted HVAC systems, or even ice machines.
The iWave-M is low maintenance with no replacement parts. It works well to solve mold issues in ductless systems, and is the most versatile product on the market to address air quality issues for any HVAC system.

iWave-C
Created especially for light commercial HVAC systems up to 12 tons, the iWave-C is also suitable for residential applications. Depending on the application, you can duct-mount the iWave-C indoors or outdoors. This model produces 200 million ions/cc per polarity (400 million total ions/cc).
Special features include an integrated alarm contact for remote monitoring, waterproof housing, a digital display, and a programmable self-cleaning cycle. In case the ion emitters wear out or get damaged, you can replace them on the iWave-C model.
Benefits of iWave Air Purifiers
iWave air purifiers offer numerous benefits that enhance indoor air quality, making them an essential addition to any home. These devices effectively eliminate allergens, smoke, dust, and odors, providing a cleaner and healthier environment for families.
In addition to improving air quality, iWave air purifiers operate silently and have low maintenance costs. Their unique technology generates ions that neutralize harmful particles without producing ozone or other harmful byproducts, ensuring safe air purification for residential spaces.
Maintaining Your iWave Air Purifier
Regular maintenance of your iWave air purifier is key to its performance and longevity. The self-cleaning feature allows users to schedule cleanings for the emitter brushes, which helps maintain efficiency and effectiveness in purifying the air.
In addition to the self-cleaning functionality, our team can assist with routine inspections and services to ensure your purifier operates at peak performance. By keeping your system well-maintained, you can ensure a consistently healthy indoor environment.
